First-half
Kick- off Liverpool
8 Loud Both sets of fans are making themselves heard at the Bridge, as the game starts in unspectacular fashion.
10 Threat Fabio Aurelio curls a free-kick into the danger area, and Petr Cech fails to get much purchase on his punch. Xabi Alonso tries a shot but mishits and the Blues clear.
13 Let off Huge chance for Liverpool goes begging. Fernando Torres worked space for himself after Dirk Kuyt and Yossi Benayoun had combined to find him on the edge of the area. Fortunately the Spaniard shoots off target. Frank Lampard goes just wide with a free-kick at the other end.
18 LIVERPOOL GOAL Aurelio puts the visitors in front with a free-kick from a similar position to his first, way out on the right touchline. Expecting a cross, Cech couldn't get across to his near post in time as the ball skids in.
25 Danger Torres and Benayoun are at it again, linking up in the Chelsea third. Benayoun was about to pull the trigger before Branislav Ivanovic intervened. Blues need to regroup fast.
27 LIVERPOOL GOAL Alonso blasts home a penalty to Cech's left after he is fouled in the area by Ivanovic. The Serbian is yellow carded.
30 Frustration Essien is hauled down 35 yards out. Lampard hits the free-kick into the wall, but Chelsea get a corner. Malouda crossed, Reina punched and Kalou wastes his chance.
35 Chelsea sub Guus Hiddink has summoned Nicolas Anelka from the bench. He replaces Salomon Kalou in what looks a tactical move.
37 Chance First opportunity for Chelsea as Lampard's corner is headed towards goal by Alex, but snatched out of the air by Pepe Reina.
38 Friendly Nice sportsmanship from the Chelsea coach as Hiddink tells the fourth official off, for giving Rafa Benitez a dressing down.
40 Yellow card Benayoun is booked for tripping Anelka in the Liverpool half. The subsequent free-kick is headed wide by Ballack.
42 Catch Alonso whips a free-kick into the Chelsea danger area but Cech, unchallenged, clutches the ball tight to his chest.
44 Lucky First Cech tips a Kuyt header away from goal and then Alex flicks a header past his own goalkeeper, but Ashley Cole is well placed to keep it out of the net.
Half-time: Chelsea 0 Liverpool 2

Second-half
Kick-off Chelsea
50 CHELSEA GOAL Stamford Bridge goes wild as Reina diverts the ball into his own net at the near post. Drogba claims the slightest of touches, Anelka did brilliantly to squeeze his cross into the near post. Replays show the Ivorian's touch.
52 Buzz There's an excitement around the Bridge again now. All that goal has done is make extra-time possible should Liverpool score again, as the scores would be level with three away goals each. For now though, Chelsea are going through…
55 Free-kick Malouda is fouled 25 yards out in a central position. Drogba lines the shot up and hits the net, but the wrong side. Very, very close.
57 CHELSEA GOAL Another foul but this time Alex steps up and BANG! Unstoppable. You will not see a ball struck harder in your life, straight into the top corner beyond Reina's helpless dive.
57 Yellow card Carvalho booked for a foul. Anelka blocks Benayoun's shot on the edge of the area, and then Alex clears twice.
63 Save Cech pushes Mascherano's skidding low drive away from danger. Benayoun follows up but his square ball is cut out by Ivanovic. Chelsea look a lot more settled.
64 Yellow card Ashley Cole blocks Arbeloa and is booked. He will miss the semi-final first leg if we make it.
66 Waste Ballack should wrap it up but shoots weakly at Reina, after Drogba had shrugged off Carragher and squared. Malouda had released the forward with the pass of the game.
68 Liverpool sub Albert Riera on for Javier Mascherano. He'll play out on the left wing, Lucas is likely to sit a little deeper. Torres flashes an ambitious shot a yard wide.
70 Flowing Chelsea are playing with freedom now as Malouda skips between two defenders and shoots, but his effort is blocked. Essien and Lampard had linked up well in midfield to release the Frenchman.
73 Yellow card Arbeloa brings down Essien as Chelsea look to break, and is duly booked. No intent, the Ghanaian was just too quick.
75 CHELSEA GOAL Game over surely. Frank Lampard. Drogba was picked out by Ballack and unselfishly laid the ball into the six-yard box where the midfielder had timed his run perfectly to slide it home. Looks like we're off to Barcelona.
79 Liverpool sub Rafa Benitez brings on David Ngog in place of Fernando Torres.
80 LIVERPOOL GOAL Lucas shoots from range, and when his effort deflects off Michael Essien it gives Cech no chance.
82 LIVERPOOL GOAL Another goal back as Kuyt heads in from close range, getting in before Carvalho after Riera had crossed to the near post.
83 Close Drogba goes just wide as he pounces on a loose ball inside the Liverpool box.
84 Liverpool sub Arbeloa is withdrawn and replaced by Ryan Babel. He scored a consolation at the Bridge in last season's semi-final.
88 CHELSEA GOAL That must be it. It must be. Lampard curls one in off both posts after Anelka pulls back to the edge of the area. What a game this has been.
89 Agility Essien dives full length to head off his own line after Alonso's low shot.
Stoppage time: 3 minutes
90+3 Chelsea sub Franco Di Santo is on for Didier Drogba. Alex heads a corner clear and then Cech claims a loose ball. The full time whistle blows and Madness' One Step Beyond blasts out around the Bridge, amid plenty of flag waving.

Comment
Chelsea have never lost at home and Liverpool have not won away to an English team in Europe. The Reds hadn't scored three at the Bridge in 19 seasons.
John Terry missed his first Champions League match with Liverpool. He is one of six players to have played all nine games to date: Petr Cech, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba, Jamie Carragher and Steven Gerrard, who also sits out with injury.
The Blues are now unbeaten at home in 17 Champions League matches of which we have won 13 (including the last eight) and drawn four since Barcelona beat us in February 2006.
Michael Ballack made his 100th start in a blue shirt - 60 in the league, 15 in domestic cups, and 25 in the Champions League.
Three and five yellow cards result in suspension in the Champions League. The current tallies are: Terry 3 (suspension served tonight), A Cole 3 (suspended for semi-final first leg), Anelka 2, Alex 1, Ballack 1, Belletti 1, Carvalho 1, Cech 1, J Cole 1, Deco 1, Drogba 1, Ivanovic 1, Kalou 1, Malouda 1, Mikel 1.
